Well... I have been working on this piece for some time. I am not quite sure if it is finished yet... I think it needs something else... something to enhance the character. I am uploading it as a deviation this time so that I can get more feedback because not many people see my scrap section.
I am pretty happy with it so far. Please let me know what you think. ^_^

There is a story behind this piece... but it is 12:30 a.m. and I don't think I am up to typing it just yet.

Edit: I fixed up the right arm and hand. I think they look a lot better now. I am thinking of redoing the other arm and hand and also that part of the dress. But that I will do later. ^_^ I just hope this piece looks a little better now. ^_^

Edit 2: I think I am finished.... Still seems as if I need something.... I am uploading it to prints anyway. Y'all enjoy! ^_^

Wow, this is gorgeous KT. You have a lot of depth going on in here...the mountains in the background really have good atmospheric perspective, and the shades on her skin are great! I love it. Especially the spanish moss. Spanish Moss!!
The ground and the shading and cracks in them are amazing.... The glare in her right breast seems a little bright, but that's only cause I was looking for something to critique. It looks good.

Wonderful, the dark colors and grim mood look very good. I think your coloring is just superb here...and the character is fairly interesting too. I love her dress.

Oh dear goodness, this is gorgeous. Well worth all the time you spent. The details are phenomenal, IMO. The only thing that I can think of that it could need would be some more highlights on the character. Not many, and they'd have to be in a cool color, but they'd help her stand out from the background a bit more.
